SOLFEN-TECH® PLATFORM

Closing the analgesic gap in global livestock production

Medical Ethics is a platform biopharma company built on a single clinical insight: from the moment of injury, there is a window of uncontrolled pain that no Non-Steroidal Anti-inflammatory Drug (NSAID) can reach. The Solfen-Tech Platform (Tri-Solfen®) was designed to close it. We are commercialising that solution as the new standard of care across global livestock production.

Moving beyond ad-hoc treatment to mandated welfare outcomes

Global regulation, retailer standards, and veterinary protocols are shifting rapidly. What was once optional for livestock producers is now becoming a mandatory requirement for market access.

Welfare Regulation

New global mandates are making pain relief a legal requirement.

Supply Chain Standards

Major retailers now require proof of welfare to protect their social license.

Veterinary Protocol

Leading vets are embedding pain mitigation into standard clinical care.

One Health & AMR

Smarter antiseptic use to reduce global antibiotic dependence.

THE MEDICAL ETHICS VALUE PROPOSITION

Where Animal Welfare Meets Compounding Commercial Growth

We sit at the intersection of welfare, integrity, and performance — a unique strategic position that converts clinical science into mandated global protocols.

Closing the analgesic gap, from moment of injury

The clinical case for Solfen-Tech begins with the analgesic gap: the window of unchecked nociception between injury and NSAID onset. Regulatory-grade evidence across 25 clinical studies and 44 peer-reviewed publications confirms that Solfen-Tech closes this gap with 30-second onset, sustained wound-site anaesthesia through the wound depot mechanism, and a safety profile validated across cattle, sheep, pigs, and horses. This evidence converts welfare science into licensable market rights.

Complementary phase coverage, not competition with NSAIDs

Solfen-Tech and NSAIDs operate on distinct mechanisms and non-overlapping phases. Tri-Solfen provides acute nociceptive block via sodium channel inhibition. NSAIDs address the systemic inflammatory phase via COX inhibition. Combined, they provide full-spectrum pain control. The cetrimide component adds bactericidal protection, preventing secondary infection from driving a further pain escalation cycle, and directly supporting global AMR stewardship frameworks.

Welfare as a measurable ROI

Performance closes the loop. Faster wound healing, improved weight gain, and reduced post-procedural mortality are documented outcomes. Once protocols embedding  the Solfen-Tech platform brands (Tri-Solfen / Multi-Solfen / Equi-Solfen) are adopted, retention and scale are structurally enforced through retailer and assurance scheme compliance requirements, creating recurring, non-discretionary demand.

THE UNMET NEED

A Billion Animals. A Preventable Gap.

Globally, over one billion animals undergo invasive procedures annually. From the moment of incision, there is a window of uncontrolled nociception that systemic NSAIDs cannot reach: the analgesic gap. It begins at injury. It ends only when the NSAID reaches its therapeutic threshold, often hours later. In between, pain is unchecked.

Solfen-Tech closes this gap at the wound site, with onset from 30 seconds, sustained local anaesthesia through the wound depot mechanism, and bactericidal antiseptic protection that prevents the secondary infection cascade that drives pain escalation.

Regulation is accelerating this transition from optional to obligatory. We are not advocating for change. We are providing the clinical evidence that makes non-compliance structurally untenable.
