Medical Ethics is a commercial and development stage life science company focused on pain mitigation in wounds for humans and animals.
Our commercialised product Tri-Solfen® is helping improve animal welfare, and has now treated over 100 million animals. Our development pipeline includes a human application, Medi-Solfen® which recently was successful in treating the first patient in a Phase IIa clinical study at the Welsh Wound Innovation Centre, Cardiff, UK. The patented, four-way combination technology platform for wound care and pain mitigation has the potential to treat chronic conditions, such as venous leg ulcers and accidental wounds.
Dr Meredith Sheil, Co-founder Medical Ethics & Inventor of Tri-Solfen®. Her career was originally in paediatric cardiac research before she spotted a need for better treatment of animals, and recognising how human medicine could benefit livestock and farming practices. The work she and Medical Ethics have done in the area of animal wound care is now one of the products leading the way for animal welfare, and is now provoking a rethink in the way we manage wounds in humans.
